WELCOME to the Shakey Graves Film Festival 2025!

It's time for YOU to flex your creative muscles, to take the reins, to make and submit an original work for a chance to be immortalized in the Shakey Graves Day Hall of Heroes for the rest of time!

Here are the rules:

Visit shakeygraves.com/movieoftheweek and enter a movie genre of your choice (it doesn't have to be a film genre, could be a turn of phrase or your favorite food, be creative). The song machine will create a one of a kind film title, synopsis, and soundtrack for you.

Your job is to make that film come to life.


There are three categories of file you can submit:

Trailer

  • Maximum of 3 minutes

Short

  • Minimum 1 minute
  • Maximum 20 minutes

Feature

  • Minimum 30 minutes
  • Maxiumum 1 hour

INSTRUCTIONS

Please read the instructions in their entirety, as well as the fine print at the bottom of this page, before submitting.

  1. Go to www.ShakeyGraves.com/movieoftheweek to create AND export your custom movie soundtrack. You can create a soundtrack as many times as you'd like, but once you find one you like, screenshot the movie synopsis and purchase the soundtrack for $5. This emails your unique soundtrack in mp3 form as well as the album artwork, and allows for us to locate it in our system.
    IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT USING THE SOUNDTRACK GENERATOR:
    • You do NOT have to purchase your soundtrack to listen to the songs on it, BUT BE AWARE that the tracks will only be emailed to you once you purchase.
    • If you leave the page or click refresh, your songs, synopsis, title, and album artwork will all be lost to the void.
    • Once you create a soundtrack that you love and want to work with BE SURE TO SCREEN SHOT OR COPY THE FILM SYNOPSIS as this WILL NOT be emailed to you even with purchase.
  2. BE CREATIVE! Create your own trailer/scene/short film/etc. based on your generated Movie Of The Week & Soundtrack
  3. Submit Your Content to the Official Form below
  4. If chosen, we will reach out directly through the information you provided in the submission form.

Please note that the entry may not contain obscene or inappropriate images or text, including without limitation nudity, acts of violence or acts that appear to cause harm or are illegal/dangerous, as determined in our sole discretion.

Any entry or portion thereof that is, in our sole discretion, obscene, profane, defamatory, hateful, unlawful, or otherwise violates or infringes (or may infringe) any copyright or other proprietary right of any person or entity, or is otherwise objectionable, may disqualify you. Entrants may not copy or otherwise plagiarize the entry material from any source. We have the sole discretion to determine whether a video qualifies as an entry.
